Inspiring Patterns

Each issue of the All Ohio Shop Hop™ Magazine features several patterns by talented designers. Bonus patterns are also available in the free downloads area of our website. Fill out the form and bookmark the page for easy access.

We do our best to get the bonus patterns posted shortly after the magazine goes on sale each year. Sometimes it takes a little extra time if corrections are needed during the proofing process. All patterns should be posted by the start of the Shop Hop.

Deb Bocknek – Cat’s Meow Quilt Shop
Deb Bocknek, owner of Cat’s Meow Quilt Shop, began sewing early under her mother’s guidance, sparking a lifelong passion for fabric and design—and the dream of owning a quilt shop. About 15 years ago, she started longarming, taking her first step toward that goal. In 2019, she began planning a cabin in the woods behind her home, and in June 2020, Cat’s Meow Quilt Shop opened, quickly becoming known as “My Happy Place.” In 2023, a second building was added to expand teaching space. The shop prides itself on a welcoming atmosphere and helping customers bring creative visions to life.

Cheryl Nelson – Pink Parakeet Designs
Cheryl Nelson is the proud business owner behind Pink Parakeet Designs. When she’s not busy turning fabric into quilts, she is plotting her next quilt design or trying to locate her phone (spoiler: it’s probably under a pile of fabric!). You can find her creations at both local quilt shops and on Etsy. Cheryl thrives on inspiration from everyday life–music, sunny days, a touch of whimsy, and…flamingos! Each pattern tells a story, and she hopes her designs inspire others to create. She enjoys engaging with fellow creators, especially at Camp Tecumseh Quilt Camp in Delphi, Indiana, where every conversation is a learning opportunity.
