Hello, my name is Shelley Lipcsey.
In 2020, I decided to open an online quilt shop, so I could work from home. I had been a stay at home mom of three children for 23 years. I loved to sew and quilt when I could. Not only that, but I enjoy gardening and preserving our harvest and raising our children, chickens and our Jack Russell Terrier Belle.
March 2021 my online shop went live and was doing well. I decided after a few months that I wanted to also open a retail location, so my customers can shop in person. On May 6th, 2022 my dream became a reality and Country Quilt Shack’s retail location opened. I have loved every minute of it since.
We have different hours and are open 5 days a week, with shorter hours during the winter since we are located in the heart of the NE Ohio snow belt. From spring through fall, we are open 5 days a week and have longer store hours. I always make sure to try to keep customers informed through email, website and our Facebook page if we need to close due to weather or an emergency.
Country Quilt Shack is closed from Friday-Monday every third weekend of every month to allow for precious time with my family. My family means a lot to me and as a small business owner it is important for me to take that time each month to be with them.
